Where It Comes From
Tradescantia Sillamontana is native to the arid mountains of northeastern Mexico. Its ability to thrive in dry conditions and intense sunlight makes it a resilient and adaptable addition to both indoor and outdoor plant collections.
A Plant with Texture and Contrast
This variety stands out with its cobweb-like leaf hairs and compact, geometric growth. The contrast between its fuzzy foliage and its bold purple flowers makes it a perfect candidate for modern, bohemian, or tropical-inspired designs.
What Does It Look Like?
White Velvet features thick, ovate leaves densely covered in white fuzz that helps it retain moisture. The plant grows low and spreads or trails beautifully over pot edges or ground covers. In summer, vibrant magenta-purple flowers bloom at the tips, creating a stunning contrast against the silver foliage.
