It is a contact herbicide and as such is a member of the quaternary ammonium herbicides, after the application of diquat, super oxides are generated by inhibition of the photosystem and electron diversion. To obtain an excellent frequency and optimal application time of this soluble liquid concentrated agrochemical for corn, early applications are recommended, between 30 to 35 days after germination, for banana and African palm from vegetative growth to production.
