Philodendron Moonlight is one of the most cheerful and luminous plants in the Philodendron world. Its spear-shaped leaves emerge in a vivid, almost neon lime-yellow and gradually deepen to a rich chartreuse as they mature. The result is a plant that always displays multiple tones at once, with the bright new growth glowing against the deeper green of older leaves. It is a self-heading variety, meaning it grows in a dense, shrubby upright form without needing a trellis or support.
Good for beginners? Yes. Philodendron Moonlight is easy-going, adaptable, and communicates clearly when it needs water. It is one of the most rewarding Philodendrons for new plant parents because the vivid color changes with new growth make every week feel exciting.
Safe for cats and dogs? Philodendrons are toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs, or explore our pet-safe plant collection.
Light needs: Bright indirect light produces the most vivid lime and yellow tones on new growth and the fastest overall growth. It tolerates medium light but the color becomes less intense. Avoid direct sun which can scorch the bright leaves.
Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Feed monthly in spring and summer. As a self-heading variety it grows outward rather than trailing. Give it room to spread as it matures.
Ships fresh from one of our two greenhouse locations in a nursery pot. Covered by our 30-Day Plant Guarantee. Free shipping on orders $149+.
