Philodendron polypodioides is a striking climbing aroid, grown for its deeply lobed, fern-like leaves that become ever more dramatically cut as the plant matures and climbs. A standout among collector philodendrons, it brings bold, sculptural foliage to any aroid display.
Origins
Native to the tropical rainforests of South America, Philodendron polypodioides is a climber that scales tree trunks toward the brighter canopy. Training it up a support produces larger, more deeply divided leaves.
Soil and Substrate
Our Monstera and Philodendron Premium Potting Mix gives these climbing roots the open, free-draining structure they need.
