Organic Filderkraut Cabbage seeds produce large, pointed-head cabbages prized for their sweet flavor, tender leaves, and exceptional suitability for kraut-making. This traditional German variety, Filderkraut cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata), forms elongated cone-shaped heads that grow impressively large while maintaining excellent texture and density. Filderkraut thrives in full sun and fertile, well-draining soil, performing best in cool growing conditions during spring and fall. Its vigorous growth and high yield make it an outstanding choice for gardeners who enjoy fermenting, shredding, or cooking with fresh cabbage. The leaves are crisp yet pliable, making them ideal for slicing thin or using in layered dishes.
