Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the ZZ Black leaves green when new?
New growth emerges bright green and darkens to near-black as it matures — this is normal and expected.
How often should I water a ZZ Black in India?
Once every 2–3 weeks, and less during the monsoon. Overwatering is the most common cause of failure.
Does the ZZ Black need sunlight?
No direct sun is needed. Bright indirect light keeps the dark colour richest, but it tolerates low light too.
Is the ZZ Black safe for pets?
No. It is mildly toxic if chewed, so keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.
Does the ZZ Black purify air?
Yes. Like the classic ZZ, it filters common indoor air toxins with very little care.
