Welcome to the enchanting world of the Lil' Velvet Plant, scientifically known as Gynura aurantiaca Purple Passion. The Lil' Velvet Plant is a true gem in the world of houseplants. Its striking, deep purple foliage is sure to capture your heart. Each leaf exhibits a soft, velvety texture, making it a standout in any indoor garden. Caring for the Lil' Velvet Plant is a pleasure. It thrives in moderate humidity, so providing a comfortable environment is key to maintaining its lush appearance. Water the plant when the top inch of soil is dry, allowing any excess water to drain.
This moderate grower typically reaches a maximum height of about 60 centimetres, making it suitable for various settings, from windowsills to table tops. The Lil' Velvet Plant is not only a visual delight but also pet-friendly and safe for babies, making it an excellent choice for households with furry or tiny family members. To encourage a bushier growth habit, consider pinching back the tips of your Velvet Plant regularly. This will help it maintain a compact and attractive shape. The Purple Passion adapts well to different humidity levels and can thrive in temperatures between 18-24°C. Whether you're a seasoned plant parent or a beginner, the Lil' Velvet Plant is sure to bring joy to your indoor space.
At Prickle, we're committed to helping you succeed in your plant journey. If you have any questions about caring for your Lil' Velvet Plant, don't hesitate to reach out to us @prickleplantsuk.
