Description
Rhododendron Lavender Princess is a stunning evergreen shrub that delivers a magnificent splash of color in spring. Its large, lavender-purple blooms stand out beautifully against the deep green, leathery foliage, creating a fresh and inspiring statement in the landscape. The delicate ruffled edges of each blossom add an extra layer of interest, making it one of the finest choices for foundation plantings, shaded borders, and woodland settings. With its satisfying structure and year-round appeal, this rhododendron adds elegance and refinement to any space.
General Care
- Sunlight: Prefers part shade
- Watering: Water regularly after planting to establish strong roots and support healthy foliage; once established, requires minimal supplemental watering except in prolonged dry periods
- Mulching: Apply a 2–3 inch layer of mulch to help retain moisture and regulate soil temperature
- Pruning: Prune lightly after flowering if shaping is needed
- Site Selection: Best planted on the north or east side of a building to provide protection from harsh afternoon sun and winter winds
With its bold lavender blooms, lush evergreen foliage, and refined form, Rhododendron Lavender Princess is a grand addition to shaded landscapes, bringing color, structure, and seasonal brilliance year after year.
