Ficus Lyrata is a beautiful, fast-growing tree, featuring very large, heavily veined, and glossy violin-shaped leaves that grow upright on a sleek trunk.
Members of this family exhibit foliar polymorphisms, meaning that their leaf shapes will be different for different stages of life. This is a fairly odd characteristic, as most other plants make the same leaf shapes throughout their lives.
Ficus Lyrata
- Lighting: Your Ficus thrives in medium to bright indirect light and can tolerate soft morning direct light. Plants that do not receive sufficient light will lose their lower leaves, and vibrant leaf colour.
- Watering: Water your Ficus every 1-2 weeks, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Remember to increase the frequency of watering when the location has increased light.
Your fiddle leaf fig is one popular house plant!
It is important to clean the leaves of your fiddle leaf fig. Having large leaves this plant is notorious for collecting dust. If you do not clean your leaves, it can affect how much sunlight your plant is taking in.
Start turning your home into a plant paradise with beautiful houseplants from our greenhouse.
