Consider how many plastic straws are used across our country everyday-the numbers are staggering. Used to serve beverages, they're eventually disposed into landfill where studies show conventional food ware can take 100+ years to fully decompose into toxic micro-plastic that threatens our food and water supply.
We can easily reduce the leakage of plastics into the environment! Vegware™ holds the deepest set of compostability certification in the sector and has you covered with their innovative, high-quality range of award-winning plant-based catering disposables to package and deliver your hot and cold food and drink.
There is a new Eco-technology available for your food service packaging and catering disposables and it’s called Polyactic acid (PLA). PLA is a plastic substrate made from fermented plant starch (usually corn) and it is fast becoming a popular alternative to traditional petroleum based plastics.
After use, these sturdy, USA-made Vegware™ drinking straws can be given a new life as compost - they're certified to degrade in a commercial composting facility within 12 weeks! These sustainable bioplastic straws are ideal for drinks up to 105ºF and are designed to last for hours in cold drinks such as shakes, slurpees and smoothies.
Perfect for takeout service, food trucks, bakeries, grocery, food packaging, cafes, zoos, picnics, bars, wineries, cafeterias, food trucks, outdoor catering and weddings, festivals and to-go operations.
