Brazilian Philodendron, also known as Philodendron hederaceum 'Brasil' or Heartleaf Philodendron 'Brasil', is a popular houseplant known for its attractive variegated leaves.
WHAT WILL YOU RECEIVE: The SAME plant that is in the pictures.
CARE TIPS:
Light:
Place your Brazilian Philodendron in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. Too little light can lead to leggy growth and reduced variegation.
Watering:
Allow the top inch or so of the soil to dry out between watering. Stick your finger into the soil to check the moisture level. Water thoroughly, ensuring that excess water drains from the pot. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's important not to let the plant sit in soggy soil.
Humidity:
Brazilian Philodendron thrives in higher humidity levels. If your indoor environment is dry, consider using a humidifier or placing a tray of water near the plant to increase humidity. Misting the leaves can also help.
Temperature:
Maintain a temperature range of 65-80°F (18-27°C). Avoid exposing the plant to drafts, sudden temperature changes, or cold drafts from windows or doors.
Soil:
Use a well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture but doesn't become overly compacted. A mix formulated for tropical plants or a mixture of potting soil, peat moss, and perlite works well.
