Summary: Philodendron ‘Brasil’ is a fast-growing trailing indoor plant with beautiful lime and deep green variegated leaves. Perfect for European homes, it’s an easy-care aroid that adds movement and colour to shelves, hanging planters, or plant corners.
✨ Why You'll Love Philodendron ‘Brasil’
- 🌿 Striking variegation: Unique mix of lime and deep green heart-shaped leaves
- 🌱 Fast-growing: Quickly develops long trailing vines
- 🪴 Versatile styling: Perfect for shelves, hanging pots, or climbing supports
- 🏡 Perfect for German apartments: Thrives in typical indoor conditions
- 💧 Easy-care: Ideal for beginners and busy plant owners
🌞 Light & Placement
Thrives in bright, indirect light but tolerates medium light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves. Brighter light helps maintain strong variegation.
💧 Water & Humidity
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Prefers moderate humidity but adapts well to normal indoor conditions found in European homes.
🪴 Soil & Potting
Use a well-draining aroid mix with components like potting soil, perlite, and bark. Ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot.
🐾 Toxicity & Safety
Not pet-safe. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs.
🌱 Growth & Propagation
A trailing or climbing plant that can grow several metres long over time. Easily propagated through stem cuttings in water or soil.
📆 Seasonal & Special Care
Active growth occurs in spring and summer. Fertilise monthly during the growing season. Reduce watering slightly in winter.
🐛 Common Issues
- Leggy growth: Usually caused by insufficient light
- Loss of variegation: Occurs in low-light conditions
- Yellow leaves: Often due to overwatering
