The Philodendron Pink Princess is a collector's dream, very hard to find and popular for its beautiful leaves. We are selling large healthy plants that are growing well - not cuttings. This philodendron is a climber, so eventually, it will want a cane for support or will trail in a hanging planter. In the Greek language, “Philo” means love and “Dendron” means “tree hugger” - it loves to climb trees.
A rainforest regular hailing originally from South America, it brings a touch of the exotic! Brighten up dreary days by looking at your Philodendron and imagining hot, moist heat and birds screeching; let yourself be carried away to the jungle!
The Philodendron Pink Princess is known for its deep green leaves adorned with splashes of vibrant pink, creating a mesmerizing contrast. Each leaf showcases a random pattern of pink variegation, making each plant truly unique and beautiful.
Philodendrons would make a great houseplant gift for friends or family - surprise them with rainforest style! Low maintenance and an excellent choice for anyone new to growing houseplants. This plant will thrive as long as it's water only when completely dry and kept in a warm and sunny spot.
Caring for the Philodendron Pink Princess is relatively straightforward, making it a popular choice for plant enthusiasts. Here are some essential care tips to ensure its well-being:
Light Requirements: Provide bright, indirect light for the Philodendron Pink Princess. It thrives in medium to bright light conditions, but direct sunlight should be avoided as it can scorch the leaves.
Temperature and Humidity: Maintain average room temperatures between 18°C and 24°C (65°F and 75°F) for optimal growth. The Philodendron Pink Princess appreciates moderate to high humidity levels, so misting the leaves or placing a humidifier nearby can help create a suitable environment.
Watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings, then thoroughly water the plant. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot. Adjust the watering frequency based on the environmental conditions and the plant's moisture needs.
Soil and Potting: Plant the Philodendron Pink Princess in well-draining potting soil. A mixture of peat moss, perlite, and compost works well to provide proper drainage and nutrition for the plant. Repotting may be necessary when the plant outgrows its current container.
Fertilizing: Feed the Philodendron Pink Princess with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper application and dosage.
Styling-wise, the Philodendron Pink Princess offers endless possibilities. Its vibrant pink variegation makes it a statement plant that can be showcased in various ways. Place it as a focal point on a tabletop or shelf, or hang it in a basket to cascade down and showcase its beautiful foliage. Pair it with neutral-toned pots or containers to let the pink variegation take centre stage.
