Anthurium ‘Mag’s Spaghetii’
(Anthurium magnificum × forgetii)
“Palms are sweaty, leaves iridescent and heavy - is that sport variegation on the surface already?! ‘Mag’s Spaghetii.’”
If velvet leaves could drop bars, this one would headline. ‘Mag’s Spaghetii’ is a velvety hybrid mash-up of magnificum structure and forgetii elegance, serving deep green, shimmering foliage with that hypnotic, almost oil-slick glow. Every leaf comes in like it’s trying to outdo the last - dramatic veins, tight sinuses, and the occasional wait…did you see that? moment.
This plant doesn’t scream for attention. It just gets it.
Why We Love It
-
Thick, velvety leaves with a subtle iridescent sheen
-
Bold veining influenced by magnificum, refined by forgetii
-
Compact but powerful growth habit
-
Each new leaf feels like a plot twist
Care & Vibes
-
Light: Bright, indirect - let it glow, not toast
-
Water: Even moisture, never soggy (no wet socks)
-
Humidity: Appreciates higher humidity but won’t throw a tantrum
-
Experience Level: Confident beginner → seasoned collector
The Fine Print
-
Leaf shape, veining, and sheen will vary - that’s part of the magic
-
Any suspected sport or color shift is not guaranteed and may fade or evolve
-
You’ll receive a healthy, rooted plant similar in size and character, not a clone of the photos
In short:
Prime velvet. Main-character energy. Zero marinara stains.
