Growing & Establishment
Cover crop and green manure seeds are typically broadcast or line-sown into prepared seedbeds. Most species establish quickly under warm, moist conditions. Green biomass is incorporated into the soil before flowering to maximise nitrogen and organic matter contribution. Many species in this category also serve as fodder crops, live hedges, or understory plants in mixed agroforestry systems.
Use in India
Green manuring is widely recommended under Indian organic and sustainable farming guidelines and has been practised for centuries across South Asia. These species are well-adapted to tropical and subtropical agro-climatic zones across India, making them valuable for soil health management in both rainfed and irrigated farming systems.
Seeds are sourced from certified farms and natural stands across India. All batches are tested for germination before dispatch. Bulk supply is available for farm-scale, commercial, and institutional buyers — contact us for trade pricing. We ship internationally.
