Trolmaster Tent-X (TCS-1) – All-in-One Smart Grow Tent Environmental & Irrigation Controller
Want your 4×4 grow tent running itself while you're out living your life? The Trolmaster Tent-X (TCS-1) is the brains of the operation — a single controller that rolls Hydro-X (climate) and Aqua-X (irrigation) into one tidy box. Lighting, temperature, humidity, CO₂ and watering, all talking to each other, all from one screen. 🌱
Why Growers Choose Tent-X
- Modular & Expandable – Start simple and bolt on CO₂, irrigation and extra device control as your grow gets more advanced.
- 2-in-1 Value – Combines environmental control and compact hydroponic irrigation control in one unit, so you're not buying two separate brains.
- Smart Monitoring & Alerts – 24/7 data logging with real-time alerts straight to your phone via the TM+ Pro app, plus a micro-SD card slot to keep logging even if your Wi-Fi drops out.
Core Monitoring Capabilities
| Sensor / Add-on | What it does | Max per system |
|---|---|---|
| MBS-TH (included) | Temperature, humidity & light/photocell intensity – your starting point | 1 |
| MBS-S8 CO₂ Sensor | Daisy-chains into the SENSOR port for CO₂ tracking | 1 |
| MBS-PAR Quantum Sensor | Full-spectrum light/PPFD readings for dialling in your lighting | 1 |
| MBS-SD Smoke Detector | Early warning if things get a little too hot in there | 1 |
| WD-1 Water Detector | Connects via the AMP-3 board – flags leaks before they become floods | 1 |
Hydroponics & Irrigation Integration
- Add the AMP-3 Sensor Board to bring pH, EC, and nutrient temperature monitoring into the mix (max 1 per system).
- Substrate Monitoring – Track water content in your media with the WCS-3 sensor for proper run-to-waste dialling.
Appliance Control & Climate Management
- Run pumps, lights, dehumidifiers and more through plug-in DS-type device stations.
- Popular pairings include the DSH2 for humidifiers/dehumidifiers and the DST2 for heaters.
- Drop in up to two EFC-1 adaptors for silky-smooth, silent EC fan speed control and negative pressure balancing.
- CO₂ Interlock – Automatically pauses CO₂ injection while your extraction is running, so you're not just venting expensive gas straight out the duct.
Performance & Remote Features
- Remote Management – Check in and adjust settings from anywhere with the TM+ Pro app.
- Comprehensive Data Logging – Spot trends and fine-tune your environment grow after grow.
- Serious Reach – Built to handle up to 256 × 2 lighting channels with a device control distance of up to 1km, so even bigger setups are covered down the line.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size grow tent is the Tent-X TCS-1 designed for?
It's designed as a single-zone controller, making it a great fit for tents like a 4×4 where you want one brain handling both climate and irrigation.
Does the Tent-X come with any sensors included?
Yes – it ships with the MBS-TH 3-in-1 sensor, which covers temperature, humidity and light/photocell intensity straight out of the box.
Can I add CO₂ monitoring and irrigation sensors later?
Definitely. The SENSOR port daisy-chains additional sensors like the MBS-S8 CO₂ sensor, and adding the AMP-3 board unlocks pH, EC and water content monitoring.
How many devices (pumps, fans, heaters) can it control?
Up to 4 DS-type device stations (covering temperature, humidity, CO₂ and program/irrigation control) plus up to 2 EC fan controllers via the EFC-1 adaptor.
Can I monitor and control the Tent-X remotely?
Yes – pair it with the TM+ Pro app over an internet connection for remote monitoring, alerts and adjustments from your phone.
What's the power requirement and is it safe to use in the UK?
The TCS-1 runs on 100–240V AC, 50/60Hz, and is ETL and FCC certified.
