Dominion Electric / Axess Electronics Battery Replacement Box™
The Battery Replacement Box™ is a revolutionary solution for powering your favourite analog drive pedals. Designed to replace traditional 9V batteries while keeping the special feel they often provide, this versatile device offers a host of customizable features and tone-shaping capabilities.
Experience the magic of vintage tone, without the limitations of traditional batteries. The Battery Replacement Box™ is the ultimate power solution for discerning guitarists.
Key Features:
- Isolated 9VDC Output: Ensures clean, noise-free power for your pedal, great for especially sensitive vintage units like fuzzes.
- Customizable Voltage Sag: Find the perfect voltage, from the full power of a fresh new battery to one that's on its last legs.
- Stiffness Control: Dial in the perfect feel response for your pedal.
- Footswitchable Age/Sag: Instantly switch between full power and aged, saggy tone.
- Compact and Durable: A robust design that fits easily on your pedalboard.
Optional Footswitch Functionality:
The Age/Sag control can be toggled on/off via an Optional External Mini Footswitch. When off, the pedal receives full, isolated 9V power. When on, the the Age/Sag control is engaged and provides vintage-style sag and response. A status LED indicates when the Age/Sag feature is active. This feature opens up a world of tonal possibilities, letting you coax multiple sounds and feels from a single pedal.
Alternatively, most available Tip-Sleeve style switches should work but may not have LED functionality.
1/4" Mono Jack cable is NOT included but any normal one will work.
Tech Specs:
- Converts 9vDC in to an ISOLATED 9vDC 100mA output
- 9VDC Only. Powered by 9VDC via a 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel plug with a negative centre pin (like Boss pedals) with a current draw of up to 200mA (adapter not incl.)
- Housed in a compact; 3.65 x 1.52 x 1.22in. (92.6 x 38.5 x 31.0mm) and rugged Hammond #1590A style die-cast aluminum enclosure.
Note: 2.1mm x 5.5mm barrel plug power cables are available here:
The Battery Replacement box should not be paired with a digital pedal as the user risks potential damage to the pedal being powered due to inadequate voltage.
