This breezy, sleeveless tent dress is made from a twisted organic cotton crepe fabric for a unique wrinkled look. The material is airy and lightweight, making it perfect for hot summer days. It features convenient side pockets and a loose, relaxed silhouette that is comfortable to wear.
This is a traditional crinkling technique that has long been practised in India. As artisans carefully twist each sewn product by hand, you can enjoy the texture of irregular, random crinkles. The unique, uneven and three-dimensional texture helps prevent clinging and increases breathability. This is traditional wisdom rooted in daily life in a hot and humid country.
To ensure the unique texture is preserved, this dress is intentionally twisted before shipping and will arrive in this state. You can easily restore these characteristic crinkle patterns after washing and thoroughly drying the material. Simply twist the pants tightly, secure everything in place using a string, rubber band, or similar tie, and store them that way.
